[For Antonio and Romano...for now?]
There it was, he could see it, way off in the distance, Oroya. Probably half a day's hike, at most. Until now, he'd only heard of the town, passing off the lips of people back in Miliumis, usually with some sort of envy or disdain. So and so's Gyrados was faster, or some person or another had caught a Magikarp this fat. Personally, it all wasn't really a big deal to Antonio. They were two different towns with specialties!
He'd been traveling for a while, and it honestly didn't occur to him to go visit Oroya. In fact, he hadn't been home in so long, he even forgot the reason why he left! It wasn't like life there was bad or anything. On the contrary, life was pretty great! Waking up late in the day, watering the tomato fields, going into town to hang around with Feliciano and-- oh.
Romano, who...who left. On his journey. Which left Antonio worried sick, and even now, Antonio still thought about Romano. What if he was sick? What if he got chased by Beedrill? What if a Tentacool stung him?! It made him sick just thinking about all that could have happened!
He swallowed a hard lump in his throat. Somewhere deep inside, he was hoping he'd run into Romano in his travels.
Passing by a tomato farm, it just...it really got him homesick.

Romano went about the streets of Oroya angrly. He had gotten to the city about an hour or so ago, and had already had enough of it. Everything seemed to cost more then he had, Tomato, his Charmander, had already gotten them in some trouble. He had tried to get her in her pokeball after she caused trouble, but she still refused to get in it, and Romano didn't have the energy to try to force her.
Now he had to find some place, in his price range, to stay for the night, and at the moment, it was looking like he was either staying at the PokeCenter OR camping outside the city. He didn't know which he'd rather do. Go and sleep in a bed that...many other people had slept in, or sleep on the ground outside the city and have to go back into it the next day. He sighed, maybe it would have been easer if he never left home.
He could never forget why he left. He couldn't take being compaired to Feliciano anymore. He was sick and tired of being the lesser brother. It wasn't just family, it was everyone in the town. And most importantly, it was...him. Romano hated the fact that An-he liked Feliciano more then him. Romano tried his hardest to be nice to Anto-him, but when ever he tried, he would say something to make him mad...and so Romano yelled at him, and got angry.
Romano sighed, maybe somewhere deep, deep down or not so deep down really wanted to see An-Antonio again.
"Charmander?" Tomato poked his trainer's leg. Romano had quit walking.
"Sorry, Tomato." Romano appoligized to his pokemon, "Just...thinking." He started walking agian. Might as well go to the pokemon center...

Oroya had a charm to it, different than the hustle and bustle of Miliumis. Rustic and down-to-earth, when compared with its chattering, explosive rival town. And Antonio would totally be admiring it all over, that is, if he wasn't so caught up in old times.
Now, he was just staring out at the water. If he squinted and strained a bit, he could see Miliumis's harbor, right across the water. The harbor, which was the site of lots of great memories, of him and Romano and Feliciano, and...well, okay, more Feliciano than Romano, b-but...Romano would always storm off somewhere in a rage at things he said, even though Antonio always meant them (like how Romano was as cute as a tomato~). And attempted hugs were always returned with punches or kicks to the shin, and threats to boot. And then somewhere along the line, Antonio thought Romano didn't really like him. Every time he stomped off, Antonio really wanted to chase after him, but...! Maybe he was stomping off for a reason, and that reason was Antonio.
Wait. Was Antonio also the reason why Romano went off, too? His feet were a little sore from all the walking, but his whole body ached just thinking about that.
And-- oh, his tired, sore feet must have lead him to the Pokemon center. The doors for some reason felt really heavy swinging them open.

Romano was still half stomping his way to the pokemon center. It had taken him some time to get to the center, as him and his pokemon kept getting tired. And in addition to that...he was still kind of lost in the past.
He couldn't help but remember how bad it felt when Antonio, Romano cinged and his heart skipped a beat when he said the name to himself, would go off about how wonderful Feliciano was, and 'Romano, why can't you be cute like Feli!', or some other nonsense. And then the stupid bastard tried to hug him! (Romano wasn't cute ...and he didn't look like a tomato!) Romano wouldn't admit it out loud, but he didn't mind the hugs...he just hated that he was only getting when Feliciano wasn't around. It hurt, being the 'problem child'. He hated how everyone treated him like he was worth less then his (slightly) younger brother. And for some reason, it felt worse when Antonio did it...and then acutally attempted to make it up to him without even appoligizing for making him feel worthless!
"Doesn't matter, anymore!" He said outloud, "They probably threw a party when I left!" He growled. And Antonio probably provided Tomatoes for it, too!
"Char?" Tomato looked at her trainer.
"Nothing, Tomato...just nothing." Romano responded, thinking the Charmander must think he was crazy. He then saw the Pokemon Center. Once he got closer he saw that a man, who he thougth looked so...familar...looking like the door weighted a ton.

Sigh. His heavy heart must be making everything heavier! Being depressed was just...depressing! Maybe that was why he disliked being in such a state of mind. With a strong tug, he managed to open the door.
....And was hit in the face with a wave of confusion. Just what was going on in here? Instead of trainers resting up with their Pokemon and quietly chatting up other trainers, there as a whole bonanza going on in the Center. Baskets piled high with locally grown vegetables were placed on every table, but what stuck out to him most was that many baskets carried tomatoes. And people were eating tomatoes, cooked every which way: fried, roasted, stuffed, even ways Antonio would have never thought. (And this was Antonio we're talking about!)
He managed to flag down a young nurse, asking her what this was all about, and apparently, there was a festival in town to honor their ancestors and their Pokemon for making Oroya a thriving community. The people enjoyed it, and it brought in the tourists, she explained with a wink. And the tomatoes grew in most abundance, since the climate was perfect.
Antonio blinked, letting all the information sink in. A festival? A tomato festival? What could be better than that?! Excitement bubbled in him.
Maybe someone to share it with would make this even better.
((TOMATO PARTY TOMATO PARTY.))

After the man had entered the pokemon Center, Romano approched it. He opened the door to enter the center when a strange site met his eyes. A wonderful, but strange site.
Tomatoes. Baskets and baskets full of tomatoes! He wondered what it was for when he overheard a nurse explain what was going on. A festival? For Toatoes??? Romano was now in heaven. Who cares about the fact that no one in his family liked him? Who cares if he might never seen Antonio again....he had...ok, well, he acutally did want to see the brown haired guy that made him mad, yet happy at the same time, again....but there were tomatoes! All cooked diffrent ways. Romano knew where he was eating while he was in town.
Tomato, the Charmander, saw all of the red fruits and wanted them. She didn't want to wait for Romano to say so. Tomato ran under the legs of the man that they followed into the center, probably tripping him, and ran for the cloest basket to get one.
Romano noticed that Tomato had done that. "Tomato!" He said, trying to call the pokemon back. She didn't listen as she tried to reach the basket to get the red fruit.
(YES! A TOMATO PARTY!!!)

What the--?
One moment Antonio was thinking about the ingenuity and overall wonderfulness of the Oroya for having a tomato festival (and it was only for this reason why he wouldn't mind living in Oroya, even though his birthplace and childhood home was the rival town), and the next moment he was flat on his back because some excited Pokemon just tripped him over. Ow, it hurt, too. The wooden floorboards of the Pokemon Center were awfully hard. It really hurt! It hurt so much Antonio thought he was seeing stars.
Actually, it hurt so much, Antonio thought he was hallucinating! Because on his back, he thought he was seeing...seeing...
Romano, of all people.
"R-Romano...? Is that you?" He whispered, a little dazed, but never wanting the image to fade away.

Romano didn't notice that Tomato had knocked anyone down, and once he did, he didn't notice who it was. He just knew that Tomato was causing a ruckis.
"Tomato!" Romano scowled, jumping over some idiot who was lying on the floor (ok, maybe it was more like he fell when Tomato tripped him, but that didn't mean Romano had to care about it.) so he could try to grab the antsy Charmander. She didn't want to be caught by her trainer, she just wanted to eat some of the tomatoes in the bin that was out of her reach! Soon enough, he finally got his arm around her belly, and lifted her up, making sure to push her tail to the side so it didn't burn him. He carefully reached over and picked up one of the raw tomatoes.
"Here." He told her, handing her the tomato, which she took and started eating with a happy "Char-Char!" which Romano took to mean 'Thank you' or something to that affect. He sighed...he probably should appoligize to the man that Tomato knocked over...it was better not to have enemys. Plus, he thought he heard the guy say something quitely. He walked over, still not acutally looking at who it was.
"Ah...So-um...damit! I hate doing this...grr...I appoligize for my Charmander...she's just exicted about the Tomatoes." He grumbled to the person, not looking at them.

Oookay, Antonio knew he had been knocked down, but he didn't know he'd been knocked out, either. Because this definitely had to be some very good dream he was having, and the reason why this dream was very good was that the person standing over him, apologizing to him, looked just like Romano! He had the same curl, the same stammer when he was uncomfortable about something, and-- was that a slight blush he was seeing on his face? It had to be Romano, it had to be! And if this was really Romano in this crazy dream of his, if Antonio grabbed that curl, Romano would definitely....
But what Antonio didn't know was that he really wasn't dreaming. But his hand seriously was reaching towards the wayward curl on the other boy's head, and once he wrapped his fingers around it, Antonio tugged.

Romano was going to say something to the idiot for not saying anything back, when he felt a hand around his curl, tugging at it.
"CHIGI!" He yelled, and he glaired at the man for the first time. Was it...no...but who else would look like that and know about his curl? It had to be Antonio. No one else would ever enjoy tugging at his curl so much. This had to be a dream. No, a nightmare...and next Antonio would go off about how cute Feliciano was, and how un-cute he was. That had to be what was happening. But if it was, why would he feel so...so...how he normaly felt when his curl was tugged.
"Let go you bastard!" Romano yelled, trying to keep his voice in check. It felt so...so...Uggg. Romano couldn't believe that he'd run into Antonio. He couldn't have had better worse luck!

Antonio froze. There was no doubt about it, it was Romano! Only Romano could 'chigi' like that, and only he could grumble and call him a bastard like that and still look like a cute tomato! His heart stopped and sped up, all at once, and those bland, boring days after Romano had left town seemed insignificant and eons ago, because why worry about them when right here in front of him? There wasn't anybody he wanted to see more and nobody else mattered right now.
Even if Romano seemed to dislike him so much back at home, Antonio was sorry, but he had to hug him. So he did. Squeezed the life out the other boy, for all the time that Antonio didn't get to.
Antonio he still had his hand around the curl, not quite registering that Romano had explicitly told him to let go in all his joy.
The only thing that would convince him that this wasn't a dream was if Romano headbutted him right. Now.

Romano was still struggling when he felt Antonio pull him into a tight hug. He could also feel Tomato, who he was still holding, squshed against him. He tried to get out of Antonio's hold, and that bastard still hadn't let go of his fucking curl!
"Let go of my curl! And me, you bastard!" He shouted. He heard Tomato make a noise of agreement, she didn't like being squashed either (She always hated her pokeball too...). Romano just wanted this...hug to stop. It's not like he missed Antonio hugging him! He didn't at all. And he didn't miss Antonio paying attention to him either! A-and he wasn't enjoying Antonio touching him now! N-not at all!
And even if he did want Antonio hugging him, it wasn't anything big. Antonio was probably missing Feliciano, so figuired hugging Romano would be a lot like it! Well, Romano would make sure Antoino wouldn't think that! He headbutted the older boy, wanting him to get away.

And with that headbutt, Antonio found himself on the floor. Again. On his butt. But even though Antonio had let go of the curl, he had not let go of Romano, and was still holding onto him as he fell back down from the attack.
Though...the whole scene with Romano falling back spectacularly into Antonio's arms might have worked a little better if there wasn't a Charmander wedged in between them, and whose hard Pokemon head just collided with Antonio's jaw. But that didn't deter him one bit, Antonio could have swung Romano around the room, because this was not a dream!
Except Romano seemed to be struggling to break free, and Antonio realized it was probably from lack of air from being squeezed to hard, so he let him go. He licked his lips, trying to find the right words to say. He'd been wishing on finding Romano for so long, he hadn't really thought of what to say once he did find him!
"Romano...Where have you been all this time? We all missed you-- I missed you!"

Romano didn't think about the fact that he'd fall when he headbutted Antonio. So when he ended up in Antonio's arms on the ground he was happier then fuck angry. And it was made even worse by the fact that Tomano was now pressed against him. He strugged more, trying to free himself from Antonio.
Antonio seemed to be getting the message, as he let go of Romano, who quickly (well, as quickly as someone holding a Charmander could) stood up. He was about to start cursing Antonio out when Antonio mentioned missing him. Romano almost froze when he heard that. It wasn't true...he knew it couldn't be. No one would have missed him...he was just Romano, it wasn't like he was Feliciano, or anything like that!
"Sure you did, bastard." Romano said, rolling his eyes.

Antonio didn't get it, couldn't understand why Romano was rolling his eyes and looking like he didn't believe anyone could ever miss him. How could Romano ever think that?! There was so much to miss about Romano, Antonio thought back to the happy memories of Miliumis: going out to the lake shore, sitting around and eating tomatoes freshly picked from Antonio's own farm....Romano might not have been too keen on joining him for much of those memories, but every memory of Romano was always a happy one. So why would Romano ever doubt Antonio missed him?
He lifted himself off the ground and straightened himself, looking right into Romano's eyes with deepest sincerity. Maybe then he would see that Antonio was telling the truth. "Of course I missed you, Roma. How could you say otherwise?" Antonio gave him a small hopeful smile. "Without you, who was going to eat all my tomatoes with me?"
Antonio would have reached out to touch Romano's hand, but seeing as how it was currently occupied holding onto the Charmander, he settled his hand on top of Romano's head, and even taking care not to touch the curl on his head, seeing as how angry it always made him.
