Romano was about to believe that Antonio missed him until he heard what he said about eating tomatoes. Was that all Antionio remembered about him? Was that he ate all of Antonio's tomatoes? But he probably remembered a ton about Feliciano! It wasn't fair! Feliciano had everyone else, why couldn't have have one person to care about him! N-not that he wanted Antonio to care about him, he didn't even like Antonio! At all! Even if he did think that some of his memories involving the other male were the best memories he had. What did it matter if they ment nothing to the other, though?
He felt Antonio put a hand on his head. "Don't touch me." Romano told him, trying to shake the hand off his head. His grip subconcously tightened around Tomato, almost as if the pokemon was a plush toy that someone would go to for comfort. "Char..." it sounded when she felt her trainer squeze her.

"Ah! What's wrong, Romano?" Antonio was starting to distress a bit now. "You know you can always tell me." Romano was shaking his head so violently Antonio was impelled to put his hand right by his side again.
This wasn't how he imagined their reunion at all. Granted, Antonio knew a bit better than to expect Romano to run into his arms with sparkles and rainbows in the background (but a guy can still dream, can't he?), but for him to not even relent one bit in keeping Antonio away, when Antonio had tried conveying his most sincere feelings to him...Maybe Romano hated him after all. That thought made his heart sink into his stomach like a stone.
"C'mon. Tell Boss. Please?" To call himself 'Boss' was something only he and Romano knew. Antonio remembered that sometimes, when Feliciano wasn't around, he and Romano would be out by the lake, playing games involving pirates and cabin boys and frolicking with the marine Pokemon. He'd always be Boss, and Romano would always be his faithful Henchman. It was special, only for Antonio and Romano.
Antonio only hoped that Romano remembered it, too.
((Uh, so I tried working in Boss and Henchman somewhere in there? Hope you're okay with that! :) )

"Why do you care?" Romano asked when Antonio asked what was wrong. Why would Antonio care anyway? He'd never seemed to before afterall (at least, to Romano). He stopped shaking his head when he felt Antonio move his hand.
Every so often, he'd dream about meeting Antonio again...but what he thought was never like this. Though, it'd be a little bit silly for Antonio to say terrible things about Feliciano and then propose to him with a tomato (Not that he wanted that last part! It was just a strange dream!). Though, he had hoped for something...an appoligy for liking Feliciano more, being missed for more then just eating tomatoes, a love confession, a friend that acutally cared if he lived or died...but it seemed like it was going to be the same as before he left.
Boss. When Romano heard Antonio make a refrence to their old games, he was shocked. He remember all those times when Feliciano wasn't around? Romano hardly belived it. He, himself, could still remember pretending he was the Henchman and was 'loyal' to Antonio. Why couldn't things be less complacted like when they were little? Before he felt like Antonio liking Feliciano better was the worst thing in the world?
((No problem~ I think it's cute! And I love Antonio's dream about their reunion. It amuses me.))

((Haha! And nice dream there, too, Roma~))
Uh.
Well Antonio never thought about why he cared, it was just that he always did. It was more than because Romano was so cute, because if he wanted something cute, Antonio would have just drawn a face on a tomato and that would be that. No, there was something about Romano that no tomato could ever be. Something like passion and fire and loyalty, and the fact that, as rare as it was, the moments Antonio remembered Romano actually smiling burned brighter than a hundred-- no, a thousand suns. And there was something else, too, Antonio was couldn't put his finger on it. Maybe he was bit too dense to and maybe it was love? but Romano was just so lovable, everybody loves Romano, right? figure it out, but...he'd find out. Eventually.
So for now, he'd have to settle for the reply of "Because Romano, you're my henchman! Boss was miserable without you!" And to make it extra cheesy, Antonio completed it with the brightest grin and a thumbs-up to boot.
Did it even matter why he cared anymore? It was just that he did, and Antonio wouldn't have it any other way.

((Romano thinks that Tomatos are better then wedding Rings apparently...though, he wouldn't say no to a Tomato shapped Wedding ring~ lol~)
"Will you stop lying?" Romano half shouted at 'Boss'. That wasn't true. Antoino couldn't have been miserable with out him...he was just Romano, and Antonio still had Feliciano, who everyone loved and cared for. "I already know that no one missed me! Quit being around and rubbing it in!" The Henchman never did feel loved by his boss. He often felt his boss loved his brother, just like everyone else. Even though Henchman really liked boss a lot. In fact Henchman might have...Romano shook his head, he needed to stop thinking in these terms.
Why was Antonio doing this to him? Couldn't he have just ingored Romano? He tried not to look at Antonio's stupid cheesy grin, or his beautiful stupid smile. or his green eyes that just begged to be wanted. It wasn't fair of him to do ths to Romano. It really wasn't. Not when Antonio was just going to break his heart again.

((YES TOMATO SHAPED RINGS. MUST HAVE RIGHT NOW.))
Antonio's smile faded. Dried up like some puddle in the desert.
Oh. Well now Antonio was just confused. Lying? Why would he be lying?! Didn't Romano know that when he first left, for weeks, even tomatoes lost their taste? Or how much Antonio wanted to go after Romano, but the only thought that held him back was that maybe Romano was better off on his journey without him, seeing as how the only thing Antonio was in Romano's eyes was a bother?
Antonio decided once and for all to stop beating behind the bush. People did miss Romano! His brother for one, but there was solid proof was right in front of him, the proof was Antonio himself! It didn't matter that people were starting to stare at the two, and more were turning their heads their way since Romano started raising his voice, but Romano had to know!
So he placed both his hands tight on Romano's shoulders, and looked at him with serious, hard eyes.
"Look. Do I bother you, Roma?" He tried to sound anything but defeated. "I'm sorry if I do...but please tell me what I can do to show you how much I missed you!"
Antonio was so vehemently putting all his feelings into those words, he hardly realized he was almost shaking Romano between his hands.

((I KNOW!!! I WANT THEM TOO.))
Romano wanted to shake off Antonio's hands, but then he almost started shaking Romano, and Romano didn't know what to feel. Antonio couldn't have missed him. That would involve Antonio liking him more then Feliciano, which wasn't true. No one liked him more. Even if he somewhat wished they did. It was unfair how much his younger brother was loved.
"Do I bother you, Roma? What could Romano even say to that? Antonio never bothered him...sure, he was an idiot, and a goofball, but he wasn't really a bother. Romano didn't know how to answer until the second question. "You can't." He answered, "You couldn't have missed me if you had Feliciano." He claimed, "why miss someone that's no where near as important!?" He frowned at Antonio.
((Is it bad that I acutally almost typed "MARRY ME!"?))

((AHAHAH, NOT AT ALL.))
Antonio blinked for a second, realizing they were finally getting somewhere. So that's what this is all about! But what did Feliciano have anything to do with all this? Feliciano wasn't Romano. It was all so simple to Antonio. Felciano was Feliciano: happy, cute, and fun to be with, and a good friend of his. But Romano was his henchman, his cute, blushing, tomato-munching henchman whom Antonio would always be willing to share his tomatoes with, and he would much rather walk the plank than forget about his henchman!
"Romano." Antonio's grin was returning, his tone less serious and more tender. "Is that what you were worried about? Of course you're just as important, Roma. Feliciano can't be you. And I need you. My one and only henchman, right?"
Antonio couldn't supress his urge for another embrace as he wrapped his arms around the other boy, earning him a few whistles and whoops from the crowd that he hadn't even noticed formed around them.

((I'm blaming the fact that it's late an my brain is starting to shut down.~))
Romano tried to get away again, it was awkward talking in a crowded place and it was awkward to have Antonio try to hug him while he still was holding his pokemon. "Let go of me, bastard." He mummbled, knowing it wouldn't work anyway. He never would understand Antonio, ever. Before the older boy always treated Feliciano like he was the best thing before sliced bread and after sliced bread...but now he was saying Romano was just as important?
"That's not what you acted like before." Romano growled. He then switched to a more high-pitched mock of Antonio's voice, "Of Feli, you're so cute! ... Romano, why can't you be honest like Feliciano? Hmm...? Why can't you be cute like him?" And yet, now Antonio was telling him that he was just as important? That wasn't enough...Romano wanted to be more important then Feliciano just this once. ...A-and not just because it was Boss...but...just...becasue!

((D-don't kill yourself trying tag back! Get some rest? Boss wouldn't want anything to happen to Romanooo))
His arms slackened around Romano. Antonio said stuff like that? He must have, or else Romano wouldn't have been so hurt all this time about it.
And now that thought about it...past all the good memories of home with Romano and Feliciano, there were also some...not so happy ones. Not so happy ones filled with Romano being a troublesome runt (just as troublesome as his Squirtle was sometimes, he was sure) and smashing things and being generally nasty to everybody around him, namely his brother and Antonio. And Antonio supposed his younger self didn't hold as much patience has he did today, and maybe had...once or twice exasperatedly compared Romano to Feliciano?
Well, it would seem that they were all brats back then, Antonio included. And what he said all those years ago still hurt Romano today. Now he felt like the biggest jerk in the world. Probably deserved some rabid Primeape to beat some sense into him.
Antonio took a breath. "Romano, I..."
He would have been able to say more, but he found himself being dragged away by a Center nurse who said volunteers were needed to set up for the festival tonight.
But as he was being dragged away, Antonio's eyes still lingered on Romano, his heart just as heavy as when before he saw Romano again. Even though he had to leave for a bit, this conversation was far from over.
((lol and we finally move away from talking in the doorway... XD))

((Haha, don't worry, Romano won't kill himself, he loves boss too much to do that)
When Romano felt that Antonio had stopped huging him so tightly he was suprised. Did he finally break though the older boy's thick skull? Did Antonio finally see what was wrong, and why Romano left? Romano heard him start to say something before he got pulled away. Romano didn't know if that was good or bad.
He set Tomato down, knowing the poor pokemon must have been tired of being held like she was. Romano wondered if he should just leave...then he wouldn't have to get hurt by talking to Antnoio again. Though...this town did have a lot of tomatoes, and he did miss Antonio a bit. And Antonio seemed kind of sorry... maybe it wouldn't be too bad to listen to him just this once. Now he'd just have to run into Antonio again. Though, first, he thought as he looked at Tomato, he should get her taken care of. He lifted his pokemon and went to the counter to get her taken care of.
Then, he went to try all of the tomatoes in the center...he could find Antonio later...but the Tomatoes might get eaten!

Ayy~ his aching back.
Antonio had just spent a good part of three hours lifting baskets and baskets fulls of fruits and vegetables, but mostly tomatoes. One would think he'd be used to all this work, doing it all the time back home, but there were a whole lot of tomatoes! Oroya must really like them as much as he did. He had also spent much of those hours helping set up food and game booths and hanging lanterns not too far from the Pokemon Center, where the main entertainment for the festival was going to take place. It was nearly nighttime now.
He had to admit, though, standing at the beginning of the road of bright lanterns and decorated stands, this place sure knew how to throw a party. People, natives and tourists alike, were beginning to fill the streets, ready to enjoy what Oroya's festival had to offer.
Antonio decided that it would be nice to allow his Pokemon to enjoy the cool night air and the electric excitement, so he released Felicidad, his troublesome but enduring Squirtle, to walk around, but only after sternly telling him to NOT run around. He remembered the last time that happened....
And so they drifted down the road, skirting various booths for a look but never really participating. Besides, Antonio simply wasn't much in the festive mood, especially when his disastrous conversation with Romano still hung in his mind. How could he ever apologize enough and take back what he said all those years ago? Romano was Romano, and even if he wasn't cute in the same way as Feliciano, Antonio would never want him to change!
A simple booth selling cheap rings and jewelry, mainly for the more feminine crowd, caught his eye. Some girls who were squealing gleefully seemed to be examining something interesting.
And that was when Antonio saw it. Tomato rings. Or rather, they were silver bands with a red tomato charm on it, but still. Tomato rings.

After a few hours Romano had gotten Tomato back and was now walking around outside to see the festival. It was actually really cool looking. There were lanterns that lit up the street, Tomato stands almost everywhere, and somewhat fun looking games. Tomato walked beside him, as she normally never went into her pokeball, looking around. Romano was almost happy for the festival. After this talk with Antonio...he needed something to cheer him up.
He walked around outside, wondering if he'd run into Antonio, or if the older boy would just leave, forgetting about him again. It wouldn't supprise Romano. He sighed as he looked around at all the booths, a few yards infront of him he saw a bunch of girls squealing. It looked boring. At least, to him.
Though, Tomato liked the booth. Not becasuse of the girls, but becasue of the pokemon she saw outside, standing near another person. It was a Squirtle. Tomato had seen a few before, but none so...wonderful looking. She knew then that she had to meet him! (She just could tell it was a male...it was in her instincts). She was about to try to run over, but something seemed to catch her trainers eye. So she decided to stay put for a bit longer.
((TOMATO RINGSSS!!! I was half joking...but YES~ ~!!!!... and Charmander and Squirtle are in the same egg group and totally compatible, ironically enough...So Felicidad can have a stalker 'new friend'. ))

((pfft, you just inspire me to make the most epic plot~ AND YES, A THAT POKEMON ACTUALLY LIKES FELICIDAD. He's usually flirting with other Pokemon, haha! You don't know how happy you made him))
Antonio didn't know why he was so transfixed by the rings. Maybe because they were so buhyoo~ cute. He squeezed through the girls and picked one up. His fingers were a bit too big for the ring, seeing as when it slipped from Antonio grasp onto his pointer finger, it trapped around his knuckle, unable to go any further. It seemed to remind him of somebody. Somebody who didn't always fit nor was agreeable to Antonio, but who was always too cute to shake off or leave alone...
Meanwhile, Felicidad was a little more transfixed on the gaggle of giggling girls next to his trainer. If only he could get one of them to notice and pet him...Felicidad was probably cuter than anything they were looking at.
But when he felt eyes on him, Felicidad's attention snapped away from the girls and searched around, his eyes landing on a Charmander with a tail flame that looked so bright, it was hot. He knew he wasn't supposed to run off again. Antonio would probably be so mad. But Charmanders like that didn't come around often.
Felicidad looked down at the tomato he had managed to steal from a basket a few booths ago. And then scampered off into the direction on the Charmander, before she got too far and he'd lose sight of his trainer, who was doing who knows what.

((Awesome! I was thinking: "How are they going to meet...Romano's gonna be avoiding Antonio". And I was looking up Charmander's egg group for VDex, and I saw Squirtle on the list and I was all "OMGYES!!!"))
Romano was looking at a booth that happened to be selling some kind of doughy roll that seemed to be covered in sticky sugar. He looked at the samples they were offering and took one. It felt odd, sticky and it was acutally sticking to his hand. Almost like it didn't want to come off. After fighing with the small chunk of food he finally got to eat it. It was extreamly sweet, but in an...odd way. If Romano was more poetic (which he wasn't damit! Being poetic was for bastartds) he might have compaired the strange sweet treat to another person that always seemed to stick to him and was oddly sweet. But he didn't! Nope! Not at all!
Tomato saw the Squirtle look at her and her little Charmander heart skipped a small beat, and when she saw him running towards her, she started going towards him, her trainer was busy with something anyway...and she wouldn't be too far away! And Really, the Squirtle had such a curly tail, and Squirtle's like that were hard to find! She tried to meet him half way, wishing she had a gift to give him.
