Gender: Female

Other features:
Character Background:
Personality:
Elise has a cheerful and mature personality for the most part, unless she's been knocking back a few beers. Though somewhat spoiled, she has grown more hard-working and is unafraid to get her hands dirty. Still very much a girl, she enjoys her chocolate and cute shoes immensely. She can be a bit of a tease, especially when drunk. A young member of the International Police, she is often pushed around, but smiles and bears it out of fear that her colleagues will make fun of her or make her less important than she already is. New to the force, she is overly curious and can be walked on at times, though not for lack of trying. It upsets her that none of her coworkers take her seriously, and she often drowns her sorrows in either chocolate, waffles, or beer. Still, Elise is determined to get some respect and one day she'll finally lay down the law and tell everyone at work how it is! ....Sometime...Really, she will...Just...Not tomorrow...Or this week...Or the next...They're intimidating, okay?!
Town/City of origin:
Maresias was where Elise was born and raised. Although living in the better part of the city due to her rather well-off parents, she was always bored with the "good" side of the city and found herself wandering the shadier side more often whenever she could sneak away, much to the worry of her
Background:
Elise was born to a Pokemedicine businessman and his wife, a pokemon coordinator. The two did (and still do) quite well for themselves, and had a rather grand house in the rich part of the city. Both were quite busy with their lives and Elise spent more time with her nanny from Hillseid, who influenced her and made her curious about the world beyond her sheltered life in the section of the city she had been raised in.
Elise also has two older brothers, but she never saw them much, and when she did, she was often picked on and pushed around. One of her brothers tried to reconcile with her later in life, but they're just too different. They still try to work on their relationship when they can.
For awhile, Elise believed she was quite happy living the life as the spoiled little rich girl. Her parents paid for whatever she wanted, and she never ever had to work for anything. She would live the life of luxury and comfort in Maresias forever.
It wasn't until her parents bought her her first pokemon at age eight, the one they intended her to use for contests, did she realize she was unhappy. When she confessed to her nanny that she didn't feel right anymore--that something was missing--did her nanny start to take her into the other parts of the city. Elise loved it. She had never had so much fun as the day she first went to the market. There were so many things to see!
Elise started to disappear frequently after that. Each time she would get more adventurous, to the point where she would make trips to the slums just to hear the latest scandalous news from the women and newest curse words from the sailors.
And then there were the pokemon. Real pokemon, not the ones her parents flaunted and gave her as if they were merely toys.
Still, it wasn't all fun and games in the slums. Elise had been sheltered for so long, but now she saw some truly horrible things. Pokemon abuse was common in the shadier parts of town, and it broke her heart. She desperately wanted to help them, but didn't know how other than to steal some of her father's potions and use them on the injured pokemon once the abusers had disappeared.
Elise ran away from home when she was 16, with dreams of joining the International Police. Her dream was to stop pokemon abuse and other infractions against pokemon and their trainers. Gangs like Team Magma, Rocket, Aqua, Galactic, and the like would receive no sympathy from her. Besides, this was a chance for her to go out on her own and really experience life
Still, life on her own was tough...Elise wasn't used to working so hard. Not to mention she didn't even know how to catch a pokemon...She jumped around from hotel to hotel as she started training to become a member of the International Police, living off of her parents money. They knew where she was, and she had received frequent phone calls with bribes to come back home, but she only grew annoyed with them and refused.
It wasn't until her friend Arthur Kirkland forced her to cut all the credit cards in half (she nearly fainted) and get a job at a pub to sustain herself while she trained did she really start experiencing real life.
It was also Arthur who taught her how to catch a pokemon in the wild. With his
Elise eventually met her goal and is now a member of the International Police, although she gets pushed around a lot and nobody takes her skills seriously. Currently, she is stationed at her city of origin due to the tension in the town. She is not happy about it and wants to get out of there ASAP lest her parents figure out she's back in town.
Relations with other characters:
Arthur Kirkland-Her friend and mentor. He was the first real friend she had when she decided to run away. They're quite close, and he does his best to defend her if she's ever in a rut. They drink together often. (Discussed this with Iggy who plans on joining)
Netherlands/Holland & Saxony-Siblings (If these guys ever come on board, I'll discuss with them)
Starter Pokemon:
Species: Lotad
Name: Lomigo, Migo for short (Lotad+Amigo=Lomigo!...Belgium thought it was good...Arthur facepalmed)
Gender: Male
Level: 12
Ability: Swift Swim
Other: Elise's Lotad is quite stupid upon first glance. Second glance, things don't improve much. But Elise loves the tiny pokemon with all her heart, even if it doesn't seem quite right at times (like when it floats with its body up instead of down in the water, or when it messes up simple tasks...). She will defend her Lotad to the very end,
Its attacks are Astonish, Nature Power, Absorb, and Mist.
The rest
Anything else you'd like to add: I'd like to thank the academy!...No, actually, I'd like to apologize for this app and it's utter fail...But Belgium doesn't have much to work with, so I added a lot of back story for her...Poor Belgium...Originally I was going to have her be something like Lovino's nanny (because of how she lived with Antonio and watched over Romano a lot), but I didn't wanna mess with other people's apps. And my friend plans to apply for Iggy, so...yeah! Lemme know if there are any problems. Sorry for it being so long...
