Um...I really REALLY like to write, as you can probably tell by my novel length background story. (I used Felicanio and Antonio in it. If either of them have a problem, I'll change some of my stuff to cut them out/make them happy. I only put them in my background because of what Canon states...)
Application
The Basics:
Nation: Southern Italy
Name of Character: Romano Vargas (If mods want me to use Lovino, I can use that. I'm just use to typing Romano for him. I kind of see it as this: His full name is "Lovino Romano Vargas" but he perfers to go by his 'middle name' Romano...)
Age: 17
Gender: Tsundere...er, I mean, male.
Appearance:
Eyes: Golden Brown.
Hair: Brown.
Other features: His hair has a strange, almost gravity defying, curl that Romano doesn't like people to touch. (When someone does touch it, he makes a strange 'Chigi!" sound.) He is often found with a frown on his face.
(Wonderfull picture does NOT belong to me.)
Character Background:
Personality: Romano is a very grumpy boy, that is extreamly bitter and jealous of his brother. He grew up not liking pokemon too much, but eventually got better with them. He is rude and quite lazy. But once you get to know him...he is still rude and quite mean, but he can be kind of nice...sometimes...maybe
.
Town/City of origin: Miliumis
Background: Romano was born and raised in the town of Miliumis, and he grew up around water pokemon, because of the town's love for them. He was raised by his grandfather, and he has a Younger/Twin brother (I'm willing to work this out with N.Italy...). He lived next door to a slightly older boy named Antonio, who often times got on Romano's nerves. As he grew up, he wasn't as well liked as his brother, and he soon turned very bitter about it. At 14 he deicded to run away from home to become an artist. He wanted nothing to do with pokemon again (Especially water pokemon). So one night, in the dead of the night, he ran away, taking with him some clothing, money, and some tomatoes that he stole from his Grandfather's cabnet so he'd have some food. As he was traveling, he found that some pokeballs got knocked into his bag.
He wasn't very good with Art, and found him self traveling in the forest, trying to find odd (pokemon-less) jobs. One night, while sitting by a fire he made, he turned his back for a few moments to tend to the fire. When he looked back, a hungry looking Charmander had taken an extra tomato he had. Romano was going to say something, but he was rather afraid of the fire that was on the pokemon's tail. For the next few nights, the charmander kept doing this. One night, Romano got so fed up that he tried throwing something at the charmander. It was a pokeball. By this time, the charmander rather liked Romano and was captured with no problem. Romano wasn't too happy, and tried to relese the Charamder, but the charmander kept following him. Then while Romano was being attacked by Spearow, Charmander saved him. Romano decided that while Water pokemon were bad, becasue he was against everything he was raised with, Frie pokemon were kind of cool. And he then decided that Charmander would be his pokemon, and mabye he'd catch a few more, but only fire pokemon! Though, he has gained a slight fondness for Electrical type pokemon as well, and has debated trying to catch one or two of them.
Relations with other characters:
Feliciano Vargas: Younger/Twin brother. He's one of the reasons that Romano ran away, but Romano has a secret desire to meet up with/travel with his brother. (N-not becasue he likes Feli. or anything....he just...wants to make sure his silly brother doesn't try eating a Tangela or something.)
Antonio-- He use to know him from his old village. Romano always did Kind of...lust after...like... put up with Antonio. But it always seemed, to him, that the older boy liked Feliciano better. Romano secretly wants to meet up with Antonio again, and Never EVER leave his side perhaps travel with him. He would perfer Antonio to Feliciano...
Rome (no real name)-- His grandfather. Romano's not a fan of him at all.
(Um...if we ever get a Antonio, I'll be willing to change anything you'd like. And the same goes for Feliciano... I'll change some things if you'd like me too. Or I can just change it to 'his brother' and 'his friend')
Starter Pokemon:
Species: Charmander
Name: Tomanto
Gender: Female
Level: (Unsure about level)
Ability: Fire
Other: Tomato is a very strange Charmander, as she rather enjoys eating tomatoes, unlike most Charmanders. One day she was extreamly hungry and came across a human eating them. So she swipped one, and when the trainer let her have it, she decided that that human would be her trainer (Even if he didn't want to be). After being captured, Romano was refusing to be her trainer, so she was never in 'her' pokeball. So, now she likes to walk with Romano, but will ride in her pokeball if Romano wants her too. It normally turns out that she walks with Romano for about half the time, just because Romano is too lazy to try to get her in her pokeball. Her name comes from one night when Romano joked that "She strangely ate tomatoes, so he might as well name her Tomanto". Charmader though he was serious, and will now not answer to anything else but Tomato.
The rest
Anything else you'd like to add: Um...just a question: Do pokemon have to evelove? Like, if Charmader wanted to stay a charmander, could I have that happen? It can happen in the video games, and I think it happens in the anime (There is NO way that Ash's Bulbasaur is under level 16...no way...) so would that be possible here?
