((OOC: Sorry if I was pestering, I hope you enjoyed boot camp anyway! Rl should come first, so it's cool. :3 While I'm here, I better say now than never, I will be away two weeks come Friday. I'm sorry, and I probably should of said eariler, but it sort of crept up on me. I know I should get some form of internet connection at some point (I need to check exam results ._.; , but I'll need to see what happens when I get there.)) Grace frowned. She had a quick glance over the restaurant, with it's infuriated waiters, confused customers, amused children and mess, everywhere. This would leave a large dent in her purse. Her gaze turned to the crook, and she had to admit, if he was a thief, he certainly wasn't going about it the right way. She was pretty sure he could of grabbed the bag from the Lotad and ran - but for some reason, he didn't. Perhaps it was just an accident? He was offering to pay too, "I suppose that seems fair. You don't look much like a thief to me anyway." She was sastisfied, she supposed, but not happy. Her name already tarnished because of that Squirtle... With a sigh, Grace reached over to get her bag back, putting down her Pokemon with a stern glare. Monte looked right back up, innocently. She offered the Pokemon a look of skeptism, before going to rummage her purse out her bag. "How much do you think it will cost?" This was directed very much at the probably-not thief and the policewoman, as frankly, the restaurant staff seemed, well, scary. Grace could feel their menacing glares on the back of her head as she asked. Perhaps if she walked towards them with her purse pointed directly out in front of her...?

((No, it's cool! I should have said something, but I guess things sprang up on me. Ah, and don't sweat too much about being away!))
Antonio breathed out a laughter in sheer and utter relief! He had to thank his lucky stars and these two kind ladies for being so understanding.
And he'd thank them both by first encompassing them both in his embrace. "Thank you! Thanks for understanding!" His cheeks were starting to ache a little from smiling so much and he was talking a mile a minute, but he just couldn't keep this feeling in!
"We would never survive doing time. This one, especially." He nudged Felicidad, who would rather pay his attention to the Lotad, poking and prodding it. The Lotad didn't seem to reciprocate the Squirtle's...affections.
"And sorry about your lunch." He turned to the younger girl. "Hope you didn't lose anything." If she had lost something, it wouldn't much to back up him up as not being a thief, and he was already skimming thin ice.
With the mention of purses...
Antonio rummaged around in his pockets, hoping to reach for some money and trying not to think about how empty those pockets would be afterward.
But then he heard a shrill voice silence the whole eatery of any mutterings.
"EXACTLY what happened here!? I want the people responsible, and I want them to pick up EVERY crouton on the ground."
It would seem that the owner, sharp-faced and livid, was approaching them. And if looks could kill, Antonio wouldn't be here right now. He'd probably be just some smoldering smear on the ground.
"Uh, well...maybe she can answer that question."
Maybe convincing the police of his innocence was the easy part of today.

(Yep! No problems~! We'll wait for you to reply!)
"Oh!" Elise cried with surprise as the man suddenly enveloped her and the other woman in a tight hug. She couldn't help the few startled giggles that left her. She loved making other people happy. "W-well, really! It's no trouble!"
Actually, it was, but her pushover side was taking over. She really needed to work on that...After all, they hadn't even talked to any of the cafe's staff...
The man's Squirtle was now poking and prodding at her Lotad, but Lomigo...didn't seem to really be there at the moment. Almost like he was staring into space. He did that a lot. The Squirtle seemed a bit surprised when he poked to hard and Lomigo fell over onto his side, still unmoving.
'Oh, God...Why?' she couldn't help but think as she gave face-palmed.
And while they were all beginning to chat civilly and discuss what was to be done and this and that, the trio was interrupted by a booming voice.
"EXACTLY what happened here!? I want the people responsible, and I want them to pick up EVERY crouton on the ground," a large, red-faced man shouted. The manager, no doubt...
"Uh, well...maybe she can answer that question."
Elise's head snapped to look at the man she had so graciously let go without many questions. He practically threw her under the bus! This guy was intimidating! Okay, yeah, sure, she was the police....And yes, she should have known the whole story by now, but...But!
Aw, hell....
"S-sir! Hello! I'm a member of the International Police, and I'm happy to say that we only have a case of misbehaved Pokemon here. Um...Yes, well...It appears that this man's Squirtle caused a bit of a ruckus on his own, which caught this woman's Meowth's attention, and started a chase throughout your establishment, leading to what you see here. Both are willing to either pay or work of the damages, so there shouldn't be much of a problem."
The man's expression of rage did not change. Elise coughed into her hand nervously. She had even used her best, authoritative voice, trying to sound professional.
"Oh, so that's it? That makes everything right and jolly then? I expect to be paid back in interest, considering I'm losing money and customer's with every moment that passes due to this--this--! Agh! You're damn well right they'll be working and paying me for damages!"
And it had been going so nicely, too. Both the man and woman had seemed content (well...more than just content in the former's case), but she had forgotten that the management would definitely not be pleased.

((OOC: You guys are awesome! Thank you! <333))
Grace stood awkwardly while being hugged by the man she just met and almost arrested. But after a few seconds her shoulders fell. "It's fine about my lunch, and I didn't lose anything apart from Monte's Pokeball." Perhaps it was the man's optimism, or maybe this could all be sorted out...
It was obviously the former as the manager appeared, his anger radiating off in waves. She hadn't been intimidated by any restaurant managers before, but usually they weren't so angry... Even Monte had vanished from her feet to go hide with the other Pokemon.
She listened to the policewoman's explanation, her only comment was a silently mouthed "...work?" Grace was confused, while the brown haired guy was clearly willing, she was certainly not! She had things to do and she didn't really have the time or patience to pick up croutons or her ex-lunch.
"Wait, I understand you want us to pay, and I can do that, but I don't have the time to spend cleaning-!" Grace's plea was cut short as it only seemed to make the man angrier.
"Don't think you're getting out of this! I don't care what you need to do! Your Pokemon made this mess, so you will be cleaning it up!" His face seemed to get redder as he went on, Grace rather thought he resembled some kind of horrible balloon. He definitely exploded like one.
His rant was only halted by the arrival of a waiter, carrying a mop and several cloths. Grace turned back to the man she had almost forgiven, and then his Squirtle. She sort of understood why Monte wanted to lunge at the Pokemon not so long ago.

"But-- wait-- we-- it's not...!"
Antonio tried sputtering some fragment of an explanation, anything to help the situation. But-- ow!-- the horribly red-in-the-face man was now dragging him by the ear! It seemed like he was hellbent on having somebody mop up this mess. He could even catch a small smirk coming from the waiter who threw him a broom (really forcefully, he might add). Antonio threw a glance over to the other girl. Which was returned by a death glare that made him gulp.
But...but...she honestly didn't deserve this! If he was ever going to redeem himself, it would be right. Now.
"Wait! I...I did this! And I'll clean it up. I'll clean it all up. So...so just let her go!" He bellowed at the top of his lungs to make his message loud and clear even to the compensation-thirsty owner. Anyway, it was his Squirtle's fault, so he should take responsibility, right?
...Even if it would probably take him forever. And even if it did probably mean selling his soul to this place.
Well. He trudged over to an upturned table, pushing it rightside up again. At least now he can try to recover the Felicidad's pokeball.

Elise was a bit impressed with the boy's outburst. She was glad she hadn't arrested him, because he obviously wasn't the thief they had assumed.
She walked towards the man and clapped him on his back, "Hey, this is a pretty big mess. It'll take forever for you to clean it up all by yourself. Why don't you let me an my Lotad help you out a bit? After all, we've got nowhere to go. We're stationed here until further notice, and to be honest we're a little bored."
Elise glanced at her Lotad, but then did a double-take. He was still lying on his side. She sighed and picked him up, righting him in her arms.
She really didn't want to leave this guy to do all the work alone, not to mention that the manager was extremely angry...The faster the mess got cleaned up, the better. And besides, she really hadn't been doing anything other than whine and complain to Arthur.

Grace reached into her purse and pulled out a few notes - which she was sure would cover a large porportion of the mess and interest, and handed it to the nearest waiter. She sighed, but just as she reached over to the mop-
"Wait! I...I did this! And I'll clean it up. I'll clean it all up. So...so just let her go!"
Oh. That was definitely unexpected. Grace's eyes widened to look at the man - she should of known his name by now! This guy must be the nicest or most gullible person on the planet, she certainly wouldn't of done that in his position for someone she just met.
It looked like she was allowed to leave, now that the manager was no longer in her face, and no-one had grabbed her ear or chucked a broom at her. Well, Grace supposed she better be on her way. It didn't take long to find Monte's Pokeball and return it to her back, and motion Monte to follow her. Now maybe she could get some actual lunch!
But then she paused, she needed to thank the man and the policewoman. But as she looked over her shoulder, Grace wasn't even that hungry anymore - just guilty. And the policewoman had offered to help. It didn't take long for her conscience to win over and take her back to the restaurant.
She put down her bag down on a table and picked up a cloth. "It's more than unfair to let you two clean this all by yourself," Grace commented as she began to wipe down the table he had uprighted. "I'm not that hungry anymore."
Monte, however, was. And announced this loudly to everyone. His trainer almost glared at him, but settled for a more exasperated look. "Why don't you eat the food off the ground? You managed to do that perfectly well back at home."

Must. Resist. Hugging. Did they even know each other's names, yet?
But that was like telling Felicidad to behave, or for Antonio to catch sarcasm the first time around; it just wasn't gonna happen. So for the second time that day, Antonio embraced the two strangers, one in each arm, filled to the brim with pure, unadulterated gratefulness. And even the girl with the Meowth chose to stay, and she didn't even have to!
Hugging time didn't last too long, however. "What is this, a lovefest?! Get back to cleaning," the owner screeched before retreating back into his office, making Antonio jump and quickly return to sweeping up croutons and tired leaves of lettuce. However, he still managed to whisper his thanks behind a hand.
And so the cacophony died down a little as the hungry filed indoors, as the outside portion of the cafe was, well, rendered unideal to eat in. There were still, however, a few waiters keeping vigil, staring the trio down with dirty looks and steely glares to make sure they didn't even think about making a run for it. Still, even with their monitoring, it was boring to clean in silence.
So maybe a little small talk wouldn't hurt? For starters, names.
"So um, thanks again for staying. Though...I never caught any of your names. I'm Antonio!" His voice was hushed, but menacing staff or not, he couldn't ever that grin when he introduced himself to someone new!
And meanwhile, as the Meowth yowled about hunger, Felicidad halted in its fascination with the Lotad to give the cat Pokemon a little sprinkle of water, as if to tell it 'you're the meanest Meowth ever and just to let you you know, we can never make Pokemon eggs together.'

Elise laughed. This guy was crazy! She rather liked him. He seemed like a pretty good person.
"I'm Elise, a member of the International Police," she formally introduced herself. "And this is my Lotad, Lomigo. I'm here to keep watch over the city due to the influx of crime...." She hesitated for a moment before continuing, "And I'm also here to catch a new Pokemon. As much as I love Lomigo, he's not really helping out my job too much...I mean, he may look pretty stupid, but I assure you both he's not all bad! I'm sure he can be useful...Sometimes...Look!"
She grabbed the tiny Pokemon and started to pile unbroken dishes onto the weed sprouting from his back. Kneeling down to get a good look and make sure he heard her, she slowly said, "Bring these into the kitchen, okay? Kitchen. You. Go. With dishes. Understand?"
Lomigo stared at her for a moment before carting off the dishes at a snail's pace. Still, Elise was proud.
"See?! He can be useful!" she scratched the back of her neck nervously. "But my superiors still want me to catch another..."
She sighed.
"Oh, I'm sorry! What's your name?" Elise asked, having gotten carried away.

Grace hadn't yet mentally prepared herself for another random hug, so was once again taken by surprise. But she soon settled down to return to her cleaning. These people seemed nice. And overall very different from the people she was used too - not that that seemed bad right now...
So it was Antonio, the hug person, and Elise, the policewoman. She'd have to remember that, at least for today. "I'm Grace," she would of offered her hand to them to shake, if they weren't in the process of wiping up some spilt soup, "nice to meet you both."
Seeing the Lotad go to the kitchen, she couldn't help but silently agree with Elise's superiors. Well, at least it was actually being useful, compared to her Meowth.
"What other Pokemon can you catch around here? Maybe it'd be better if I had more that just Monte with me if there's lots of actual criminals." Her face contorted at the thought.
Monte's back arched with his fur on end as he hissed at the Squirtle. It was about to bat the Squirtle with one of his paws, before he noticed some food lying nearby. Seafood in fact! He scurried over to devour it, and between bites replied to the Squirtle. "You are," nom nom nom, "the stupidest Squirtle," munch, munch, chew, "ever. And we're both dudes."

Watching the Lotad, Antonio had to laugh. As dopey and adverse to high-speed police chases as it seemed, it was so cute, and not to mention so behaving and so not troublesome...
"Though you'd think a member of the police would have something like a Growlithe." Antonio paused in his sweeping to softly pinch the Lotad. "But I like Lomigo! It's nice to meet you all."
But at the mention of crime, Antonio's smile faded a bit. Well no wonder they were on their hackles when he took the purse...For his time remaining in Maresias, he vowed to be on the definite lookout. He brightened, however, at the prospect of finding and possibly catching new Pokemon. It was a heck of a lot more exciting thing to to think about than the fragments of shattered plates and bread rolls littering the ground, and-- oh, what was that red thing over there, he wondered as he crawled over underneath the table.
Felicidad's pokeball! Finally-- Oof!
His head collided painfully with the table above him.
"Well, I honestly wouldn't know," he said between rubbing the smarting bump forming on his head. The piers out in the distance, way beyond the gates of the restaurant caught his eye. "Maybe water Pokemon?" Antonio gestured out at the sea.
Though even if there were water Pokemon out there, there was a sea of mess here that they had to take care of. Antonio sighed and picked up his broom again after getting off the ground and brushing off the crust of bread he accidentally sat on. Oh, Felicidad...
Said Felicidad, however, was now starting to make himself and his Water Gun useful by drizzling the tables Grace was cleaning for a little moisture, still never taking his eyes off his opponent. "As if that mattered. This Squirtle here didn't use to hang out with the Dittos for nothing."
((I MEAN WHAT, FELICIDAD))

Elise sighed and gave a frown. "Yeah...I grew up around here...There's a lot of water Pokemon, but also some ghost and poisonous types...A few years back I remember there being a Grimer infestation around some of the slums. Smelled awful...And then there are always a few stray pokemon that have wondered in from outside, like a Poochyena or two. "
She paused and mulled over what Antonio had said about Growlithes and the police. It was true, a lot of her colleagues seemed to be partners with canine Pokemon. None of them had anything like her little Lomigo...Her chief had a Granbull, which was large and intimidating as all get out, and their were plenty of others with Mightyenas.
Elise bit her lip. "Well...What type of Pokemon do you think would be good for a member of the police? Other than Growlithe, I mean..."
Lomigo tottered over to the other Pokemon and stared at them for a bit. "Mudkips...Do want...Like them...Pretty..."

Grace couldn't help but silently giggle at Antonio hitting his head, but deftly hid it behind her hand. To hide her amusement, she quickly started wiping down the tables with the help of the Felicidad. She didn't want to make a terrible impression, even though they were just two random people - she did owe them after all. "It's weird. I've lived by the ocean my entire life and I still don't have a water Pokemon..." Reflecting on it, she supposed she associated a lot of them with Miliumis - a place she did not think highly of. But water sounded better then poison definitely! "I should find one here, after we finish clearing up." She announced the last part a tiny bit louder, for all the staff nosying in. Grace had learned it back at home, except she was usually on the other side of the matter. She tried to remember all the police Pokemon she had seen at home - "How about something fast? You need to be able to catch them after all." She moved onto the next table - uprighting all the chairs and began wiping the oddly purple spill, "Then Lomigo and yourself handle them." Grace hoped this was the case, but surely Elise wouldn't have survived in Maresias if she didn't know what she was doing. Monte instantly paused his eating to look up at the Squirtle, his eyes wide. To be honest, he wasn't quite sure how to react to that at all. So he just stood and stared at Felicidad curiously. This probably would of went on for ages - cats were very good at staring, he knew from experience - if it wasn't for Lomigo. " I'm not a mudkip though..." The Meowth turned to the water weed Pokemon, not quite sure if he felt sorry for it. [OOC: Sorry for the late reply, as well as waiting for two weeks, thank you again guys! Also, what Felicidad indeed.]

((No problem! It's good to have you back! Hope you had fun. C:)
"Really? My hometown's Miliumis, and all I have are water Pokemon!....Or you know. A water Pokemon."
Well. It really wasn't saying much, considering all Antonio had was his Squirtle. It just struck him as strange for a person to have lived by water and not have a single water Pokemon. Then again, if water Pokemon were like Felicidad, he couldn't blame them. Investing some time into catching another Pokemon would probably come in handy, he mused, sweeping up the bread he flattened.
As for a fitting water Pokemon for Grace, Antonio jogged his mind recalling the Pokemon he often saw by water back at home. "How about a Goldeen?" They looked regal and majestic. Dignified. The very epitome of grace. "Or maybe a Milotic?" But wait...Antonio frowned a bit. Weren't the Milotic he sometimes saw only handled by the older, more experienced trainers? As tough as a Meowth, Squirtle, and Lotad could be, they couldn't be enough for anything like that.
But something fast for Elise? Antonio hummed in agreement. "As nice as Lomigo is..." He glanced over at the Lotad, watching the two previously feuding Meowth and Squirtle forget their hostilities to stare at it. Antonio couldn't tell if they were entranced or astonished by the Pokemon. Whatever the case, it seemed to effectively render others unresponsive and possibly vulnerable in a battle, but still. "I don't know if running after criminals is what it likes to do."
After sweeping up many rolls, croutons, and countless more crumbs, Antonio looked up to survey their progress. And it seemed progress was looking....well, good, actually. Just a few more tables that needed to be clean of some goop, and some baked products littered here and there, but other than that? Not bad for three people. He doubted he'd be this far if they hadn't helped.
"Do you like Mudkips..." Felicidad longed to say, but there was something...obscene about it. He looked on over at the Lomigo and found himself unable to tear his eyes away, forgetting about the mean Meowth. It had seemed really empty and not all there to Felicidad at first, but....looking at it seemed to tranquilize and empty his mind, too.

[OOC: Thank you! I did have fun! <3] Oh dear. Grace's breath caught in her throat, lest she let loose some not particularly pleasant comment about Miliumis. She was above this, she told herself, and thus kept quiet - occupying her mind with the task of rigerously scrubbing at the table. This was clearly regardless of the fact that the table was already long clean. She wasn't sure whether to bring up her hometown, Oroya, as years of rivalry between the towns had led to quite a few nasty incidents on occasion. It was true that while she did have hold much fondness to Miliumis, she wouldn't act on it apart from a few snarky remarks. Antonio, she was didn't know about, but after a quick glance at the man, she was sure she was safe. After giving out that many hugs, Grace was sure he was perhaps the most innocent person she had met. "I'm from Oroya," she was positive this wouldn't come bite her in the back, "but Monte is my only Pokemon." The cat pokemon looked up in reponse to his name, but soon returned to staring at the bizarrely overwhelming presence of Lomigo. "I remember seeing Goldeen at home, but Milotic, I have only seen one once, but I still remember it." It was true, see could still see the towering and beautiful pokemon clearly in her mind. It's glistening scales and overall majesty. And then something clicked in her mind. "Do you know where to find a Milotic? I think they're rare but it's just what I need!" And it wasn't just to reaffirm how she was classier then everyone and had amazingly beautiful Pokemon - it would be great in contests! Exactly what she needed. Grace took herself away from the already clean table to rinse her cloth in a basin the waiters had left. The water had turned purple, but a quick glance around the restaurant showed that they were almost there so she couldn't stop now. She quickly moved onto the next table. While this helped her problem, the question of what Elise would find helpful was still unsolved. Grace didn't know what they had apart from Growleith because she hadn't had that many run-ins with the police. Apart from that time they caught her underage gambling. And that time her family were accused of tax evasion. But of course those were all swept underneath the table and no-one needed to know about them. Just something to help catch things then, she considered. "How about a bird Pokemon? Or something that can fly? I'm sure you could find one around here." Monte was meanwhile still staring at the Lotad. He contemplated batting it with his paws, just to see if it would move, but that seemed unneccesarily cruel for some reason. So for right now he'd be satisfied by not helping tidy the mess he made, and watching Lomigo.
